The Hind is committed to accuracy. When we make errors — factual, typographical, or analytical — we correct them promptly, transparently, and without qualification.
Our Standard
We hold ourselves to the same standard of factual rigour that we demand of the policy questions we analyse. No publication is error-free. What distinguishes a serious publication is not the absence of error but the integrity with which errors are acknowledged and corrected.
How to Report an Error
If you believe an article published on thehind.com contains a factual error, please contact us at editor@thehind.com with:
- The subject line: "Correction: [Article Title]"
- The specific claim you believe to be incorrect
- The evidence or source supporting the correction
We aim to review all correction requests within 5 working days.
How We Correct
Factual errors: Corrections to factual errors are published at the bottom of the relevant article, clearly marked with the date of correction and a description of what was changed and why. We do not silently edit published articles.
Typographical errors: Minor typographical corrections are made silently and do not require a formal correction notice.
Analytical updates: Where subsequent events materially change the context of an analysis, we may add an editor's note to the original article directing readers to updated coverage.
What We Do Not Do
We do not remove published articles because their conclusions are challenged or because they are politically inconvenient. We correct facts. We do not suppress analysis.
